Happy Halloween

Here is just a little of what we have been up to.

Grillo's came over to carve pumpkins

Daddy helping Branson out with his pumpkin.

The babies hung out together

These are our results. All the credit goes to Josh.

Quinn in her Halloween shirt (compliments of Auntie Kati) and socks (Thanks Auntie Beebs)

This is what my cooperative son did whenever I asked him if I could get a picture of his shirt.
SIGH 2 year olds!

This is seriously the best picture I got where you can see read his shirt.
WILL TRADE SISTER FOR CANDY

Charlie's sister isn't here yet and he is ready to trade her too!
Bethany and I got these shirts when she was out after Quinn was born and we never got a picture of Charlie and B together in them

Yesterday we went to Stutzman Ranch. Our first time there and we will definitely be back. Apple picking, shooting pumpkins out of cannons and animals. So much fun.

Daddy explaining to B about the cannon and the target.
He loved watching the pumpkin shoot out of the cannon, we had to stay and watch it multiple times.

One more picture because it is too cute not to share:
Last weekend was Kathy's birthday so we had a dinner party here. Quinn got some snuggle time with Auntie Sue.

Dirt

I think we have a problem because I have way to many pictures for this post. Branson LOVES dirt and is constantly asking to play in the dirt. Because of his love of dirt our yard is his favorite playground right now.

B loves his boots and he knows he can't go outside without shoes, so whenever he wants out he runs and puts on his boots. Sometimes that means that he is running around the house in his boots and underwear. We have to remind him that he needs clothes on to go outside too.

Cleaning the dirt out of his boots

I love the fact that he can put his boots on himself, but it means the the can get them off himself as well. Too often I go outside to fine this.

This is what I found yesterday
We have been doing some work to the outside of our house that involves tearing up the yard. B thinks it is pretty cool to have a backhoe in his yard.

The next few pictures are from me following him around the yard yesterday

B is a lucky little boy. Dave stopped by one Saturday to check on the progress of the digging and Branson persuaded him to play in the dirt with him.

They found a worm

B thought it was pretty neat and brought it to show me.

Pam's Pictures

Most of you have probably seen these pictures either on Facebook or the proofs Pam put online, but I wanted to post these for me to remember and to share with those who haven't seen them. Also, just to brag a little. Both on my kids and on my friend Pam who is our family photographer.

Pam does an amazing job, as you can tell by the results of her pictures, and she is great with the kids. She is patient and goofy and can get a smile out of anyone. Thanks Pam, we love having you in our lives. As our photographer and our friend.

Home

Josh had a coaching conference in SeaTac last weekend, so the kids and I hitched a ride and went to visit my parents while he was there.

It has been nice to see my parents more frequently. Since Quinn was born we have been over there three times and mom here twice.

We had a good weekend. Mom and I got some shopping in, since I am not brave enough to venture too far from home with my two kids by myself yet. It was nice to have some help so I could pick out some winter clothes for B this year. He hasn't gained much weight in the past year, so I had hopes of some of his clothes from last year still fitting since his pants were so long then. Ha! He has grown so much his pants were basically capris. We also got to swing by and say Hi to my grandparents again which is always nice.

We have no plans to head west again soon. but you never know. We can't seem to stay away from my "home" too long.

We went to the high school football game on Friday night. Mom and Dad still sit with the Williams in the same spot they did when we were in high school and Hal still announces. I loved the memories.

Josh had taken B to a junior high football game here in town last week, so he was excited to go to another one.

Shirley was the baby holder!

Dad entertaining my children. Can you see Branson's arm sticking out of the blanket?! B thought it was fun for Grandpa to kick him around in it.

B trying to make an escape
Helping out in the yard
Reading books.
Grandma bought B this Halloween book and we left it behind on accident. Maybe that was a good thing though because Grandpa taught B how to scream when he opened the flaps to see what has behind them.

Maybe this post should be titled Branson and Grandpa since I seemed to only take pictures of them last weekend. I guess they are so cute I couldn't resist.

One Month

Wasn't I just saying how I was behind on blogging?!

Quinn turned a month old last Sunday, October 2nd, and here are some of the pictures that we took. The past month has flown by and I can't imagine our life without our sweet baby girl (or her rowdy big brother!)

Brother wanted to help out too so, he pulled out his stickers to put on sister.

This girl has no hope! Brother is alway sharing his trucks with her.  He piles whatever he is playing with around her and is always telling her to play with him. We will see how it works out once she is old enough to actually be interested in his toy since he is not much for sharing right now. His favorite word after "No" is currently "Mine!"

Quinn is full of smiles for us these days, however catching them on camera is a different story! Here is the closest I have gotten of a a picture of her smiling.

The pictures of Branson in this post crack me up. Last time we saw Kati and Forrest he asked us why his nephews never have pants on in the pictures that he sees. Now in this post B does not have pants on in one picture.

Here were my reasons for him:
#1 Potty training, which is going extremely well! At home B can get his underwear off himself so he just runs to the potty and goes when he needs to. We don't even worry about it anymore and it has been about a month with no accidents. Being fully dressed in public is coming along well, just sometimes we don't have enough warning to get him all the way to a potty (or to pull off on the side of the road) and pants down in time.
#2 I told him to try to dress a toddler that would prefer to run around naked and he will understand.

Behind on blogging

I only started this post a week ago and am finally publishing it. Better late than never right?!

Auntie Kati's class reunion was scheduled perfectly for her and Uncle Forrest make the trip to Washington and meet their niece.

Forrest and Kati bring B super fun toys. This time B got a space shuttle and stickers from all the shuttle launches.
B flying his shuttle. We had to discuss what it was called.  The girls called it a rocket, the boys a space shuttle and B called it an airplane.

Daddy got in some snuggle time with his little girl

Naps with Grandpa

Sarah came to visit and brought the adorable Grace with her. We hadn't seen them for a couple months, so it was fun to see how much Grace has grown and for Quinn to get a chance to meet her best friend.

Quinn and Grace

Checking each other out
We snuck in a quick visit to Gpa and Gma's place too.

Grandma Gracie with her newest great grand daughter and 2 more on the way!

Grandpa Phil playing with B
This is the only picture that we have with all four of us in it. We will have to work on getting one!
B's finger one week after his accident. I am glad to report that after two weeks I can notice significant improvement.
Auntie Kati and her favorite niece (I can say that for a few more months until baby girl Miller arrives.)
Uncle Forrest getting some baby time in.
We enjoyed our time with Kati and Forrest. We didn't get to see them nearly enough when they lived in Seattle, and now that they are in Texas it is even worse! We are looking forward to being with them in Nashville over the holidays and I am thinking we need to plan a trip their way. Kati is taunting me by posting pictures on facebook of her laying by the pool in October while it is raining here. Maybe we should show up on their doorstep with our rowdy two year old and infant. Then they can entertain our children while we relax by the pool!
