Week in Review

Cookie bouquet from cousins Adrian, Sharla and family. So cute and delicious too!

Daddy is Branson's favorite person. He had to go back to work this week, but they still get lots of time together in the evenings.

Grandma came to spend the week. We love having her.We couldn't decide when to introduce a pacifier to him. Then Branson found his thumb.
Branson wins. He just likes to hold this one to his mouth.

We are looking forward to more visitors in the next few days. Great Grandma Florence and cousin Sara will come tomorrow. Then Auntie Kati and Uncle Forrest will come. After that Great Uncle Bruce and Great Aunt Nadine. We can't wait for them all to meet our little guy.

Hiccups!

Branson with the Hiccups!

Here is a quote from burpingbaby.com: "Remember, at the end of the day it is only really the parents who get bothered by baby’s hiccups. They don’t bother your baby at all (in fact he/she probably wonders why everyone doesn’t hiccup!), so the only things you need to give your baby each time hiccups develop are a little bit of patience, and a lot of TLC."

We are three!

Branson Douglas was born August 25th at 10:42. We are so excited that he is finally here and just wanted to share a couple pictures of our little guy.

Here he is just minutes old. Josh loves that he is posing for the camera in these pictures

We had some special visitors to see Branson. Here are a couple of my other favorite guys.

4 generations. Great Grandma is visit Grandma for a while. We were glad they could come meet the newest addition their family.

Sisters

In July Bethany, Holly and I hosted a bridal shower for Kati. It was so much fun to have all of my sisters in the same place again, even if it was only for a quick trip from Holly and Beth. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of them from that weekend.

Kati with her rehearsal bouquet

Bouquet made by Bethany and Kati's flower girl.

Holly ended up flying in a few days early, so it was fun to get to go spend a few days with her at Dad and Mom's place. This is the tennis wall that Holly helped build for her senior project in high school.

Look closely to see what Holly is celebrating.

This year some of the high schools tennis players accomplishments were painted on the wall. We are all so proud of Holly.

Being with my whole family again makes me super excited for the times we have scheduled in the future that we all get to be together. Next up Forrest and Kate's wedding. Hard to believe that is only a month away.

STP

We are going to see what we can do about getting caught up on blogging. Our lack of posts lately have not been because we have been up to nothing, but because we haven't even had time to take our pictures off of the camera.

Two weekends ago Josh rode his bike from Seattle to Portland for the 2nd year in a row. This year we did not have as big of a crew to watch for, but Josh and Forrest did rope Joel into joining them.

After saying good bye to them in Seattle at Kati's place they rode their bikes 2 miles to the start. What is 2 more miles when you have 202 anyway right?

I first met up with them in Tenino and Josh is still all smiles.

Kate and I waiting for them in Winlock at the 120 mile mark. On a side note: Less than one month until our little guy arrives! And less than 2 months until Kate and Forrest's wedding!

Forrest coming into Winlock.

Josh and Forrest enjoying the misters after riding 120 miles.

Joel finishing up day one.

Josh ready to start day 2, only 80 more miles to go.

Sunday the weather didn't cooperate as well, many of the riders got stuck in thunder showers. Our boys lucked out and ended up only slightly wet from water off of the road, but were still very thankful for the jackets provided.
I had an awesome day with my dad, he joined me for the trip down to Portland to pick up the riders. Here he is being the dutiful father in law waiting for the guys to come in so he can record them on Josh's new "toy."

Josh finishing up. Once again, still smiling.

Tulip Festival

Once again we are very far behind when it comes to blogging, but here are a few pictures of the Tulip Festival that we went to in Skagit Valley last month.

We stayed that night in La Conner and fell in love with the little town on the water.
