New Wheels

Okay, so they aren't that new anymore, but we are still super excited about them. It all started about a year ago when my mom moved to Walla Walla and bought a cruiser bike. She reported to me that she got a new bike and it was hot pink and had a basket on it for her to carry her stuff in. After that I started trying to convince Josh that I needed a bike to ride around town, and a cruiser like mom's would be perfect. I have a road bike and he has a rode bike and a mountain bike so he tried to convince me that I could get a mountain bike and use that for my in town travels. After a year of Josh and I debating about bikes we were in downtown Wenatchee and a store had there cruisers displayed outside. I talked Josh into taking one for a test ride and he was sold! Josh said he had a smile on his face the whole time he was riding it.

For those of you who know my husband you will know that we did not buy any bikes that day. We went home and researched cruiser bikes. The next day we went to a bike shop in Leavenworth and test road some more. After going home and researching some more Josh went back to the bike shop and bought his. He got an Electra Ghostrider and I ordered a Pink Betty. We are loving our bikes. We go on nightly rides around town and to get the mail. My basket is perfect for a trip to the store. We haven't drove our car in town since we got our bikes in May.Our nightly trip to get the mail

NCW District Fair

This past weekend was the fair here in Waterville. We love having a a fair less than a mile from our house.

Friday night we went to the Emerson Drive concert. Josh's parents bought us tickets for our anniversary. It was fun to go on a date with just the two of us.

Braden had a booth at the fair. It was fun to have him stay with us for a few days.

Braden and Josh tried their hand at team roping.

Getting advise from a real cowboy

On Sunday Josh was in the "Dunk Tank." For this dunk if you make a basket you can pull the string that will drench the person sitting underneath the toilet.
The whole set up

Still smiling after getting wet.

Some of the players on Josh's team had a great time torturing him.

Josh enjoyed being able to drench someone else after his shift was over

The Demmon Clan!

We apologize for putting these pictures up so late but they were on Dave's camera. This picture took place on 5/4/08 Sunday after church. We are fortunate to have such wonderful family.
Grandpa and Grandma Demmon. Always a great time when you guys are around!

Rehearsal and Dinner

Friday night everyone met up at Dad and Mom's for the rehearsal, then Ben's parents treated us all to an amazing dinner at Anthony's on the water in Olympia. Tom and Deb prepared a slide show of Ben and Bethany's lives and their relationship that was touching as well as provided us all with entertainment. Gina and Bethany giving us all instructions at the rehearsal. Bethany had her friend Gina come to act as the wedding coordinator and she did a wonderful job. I don't know what we would have done without her.

Wedding Week

I spent the week before the wedding at Dad and Mom's preparing for the big day. Lots of wedding pictures to come. Here are a few pictures of some of the work we did the week before the wedding. We still had some final things to finish around the house before we got to work on actual wedding things. Everyone pulled through and we got Ben and Bethany hitched.Holly, Auntie Patty and Forrest helping out in the kitchen. Once again my mom amazed everyone and made all the food and the wedding cake. Thanks to all of her helpers.

Bev and Mom. Thank goodness for friends and relatives that pitched in.

More helpers. Addie and Ellie "Making the coffee."

Holly got them all dirty then gave them to me to clean up.

Ben's family came out on Thursday to start helping. That night after dinner we had some time to relax and enjoy the company.Uncle Dug and Dad representing Washington on the croquet course.
