August Birthdays

My birthday is in August, Josh's birthday is in August. After we got married in August Josh told me we should have our kids in August. I didn't think that was a good idea, but last year Branson was born in August.

So far we have celebrated the first two. For my birthday Sarah came to visit and we spent the morning in Chelan, then went out to Manson to pick Blueberries.

For Josh's birthday Ben, Bethany and Charlie were in town, and we headed up to Chelan to hang out with the Sandersons.

Branson thought the sand was more fun to eat than his dinner.

It was a fun night, so much fun to hang out with the adorable Sanderson boys. Here they are taking turns holding baby Charlie.

Charlie

Charlie finally decided to make his appearance. Isn't he cute?! Dad, Mom, B and I were so anxious to meet him we hopped in the car and drove from Washington to Minnesota.

B and I stayed with Holly, while Dad and Mom stayed at Ben and Bethany's. There is a park by Holly's place with this pool. B loves the water so it was perfect place to spend some time while Holly was at work.

Grandpa and his boys. Who would have thought that there would more boys than girls in our family?!

On the way home we went through Jamestown, ND. This is where Kati went to school and I never got the chance to visit. It was fun to see where she lived for a while.

Also, on the way home we went through Theodore Roosevelt National Park. This Bison was sitting on the side of the road as we drove past.

Over 3,000 miles but it was well worth it. Being an Auntie is the best.

One Day Riders

This is the third year in a row that Josh has rode the STP. After riding it the first year he decided that one of these years he would ride it in one day. That year was this year.

Here are the boys in Tenino. This is where Sue and I met up with them first.

Leaving Centralia, this is the halfway mark.

They made it! 205 miles in one Day!
11 hours & 35 minutes on their bikes.

Josh and B at the finish line. B was a little trooper that day, but I couldn't get a decent picture of him that shows his shirt. Oh Well, how much can I ask for?! He was dressed for the occasion wearing a shirt with a bike on it that said Sweet Ride.

Between the boys making minimal stops and chasing a 10 month old around, I didn't get very many pictures. Check out Zach and Kim's and Jason and Sue's blogs for more pictures.

Fourth of July

After being out of town for a week a relaxing weekend at home sounded nice. We entertained the idea of going camping with Jason and Sue, but instead we talked them into coming up and spending the weekend with us.

Saturday we took Branson to the town pool for the first time. He loved it! I am anticipating that we will be spending lots of days there.

That night we headed out to the shop and had a fire, roasted marshmallows and watched the fireworks.

Surprise!

Last week Mom, Branson and I showed up at Bethany's front door. Holly was out the beginning of June and mentioned to Mom that she should try to come out for Bethany's upcoming baby shower. From there plans just took off and before I knew it we were on a plane headed for Minneapolis.

I didn't get very many pictures, but here are a few from this past week. Bethany informed me I didn't need very many pictures to post, just a couple of B and she would be happy. Hopefully this does the trick.

B made his first trip to the dentist when we went to visit Auntie Holly's work.

While we were in Minnesota there was some major thunder showers. One night after dinner Holly and I had to wade thru water past our knees to get to her car. Bethany had to take Ben to the hospital for his rotations the weekend we were there, here they are in their rain gear in an attemp to stay dry on the way to the car.

After our quick trip to Minnesota I spent a few days at Dad and Mom's. I did some work for the symphony, so B got some quality time with grandpa.

It took Grandpa and Branson two days to mow the lawn because B kept falling asleep.

Branson was grandma's little helper in the kitchen.

Congratulations Dr. Jason!

B was an awesome traveler, but he was sure worn out by the time we arrived. Good thing Auntie Sue was there to snuggle with him.

Our little sweetie at graduation, what a little champ to put up with our crazy weekend. We flew out on Friday. Graduation, party and sight seeing on Saturday. Meeting and flying home on Sunday.

Life is Good

We just got back from a quick trip to Chicago to watch Jason graduate. This is one of my favorite pictures from the weekend. It totally captures B at this stage in his life. He smiles and waves at everyone.
